“I have been waiting for a chance to fight in Harrisburg since I started boxing.”  Maxwell remarked when recently questioned about his upcoming fight.  “Trouble” Troy Maxwell is currently in preparation for his next fight in Harrisburg, PA on Saturday, September 24th at the Metro Bank Park.  Maxwell has never ventured to PA for a fight so he is pretty excited about what this opportunity has to offer, not to mention Harrisburg signifies his roots.  Born and raised, just 20 minutes north of Harrisburg, Maxwell is ecstatic about the chance to fight locally.  When asked about his training Maxwell said, “I have been training since April for fights that unfortunately fell through.  In the end, as much as I wanted to fight, that’s alright with me.  Now I am better prepared, in great shape, and performing with even better technique for this fight.”  He is spending hours running on the boardwalk  and track and pounding the gym hard.  When told recently that his will and determination for this fight seems stronger than ever, he had one comment.  “I just cant wait to fight in Harrisburg.  I have waited so long for this and no one can take it away from me.  I hope that everyone comes out.  To me this is the best fight of my life, fighting at home!”

The upcoming fight will be held on City Island at the Metro Bank Park in Harrisburg, PA on Saturday, September 24th at 7:00pm.

   Trouble will be fighting July 9th in Boardwalk Hall, this will be a rematch from his last fight in May. Troy says,” Ive always wanted to fight at Boardwalk Hall, and now I get to beat the brakes of this kid there I cant wait. May 22nd is right around the corner now, and Troy is training harder then ever. He has been sparring a lot andhas been keeping a 3 day a week sparring schedule. Working on alot more boxing techniques and putting some more defense into his arsenal. Troy says, ” Man trainings been great I am at weight been there since April, Conditioning is right at peak as usually expected when training at Virgil Hills All N Conditioning”. Ive been putting in some big runs 15 miles once a week usually, Feel outstanding. Boxing is getting better everyday Mr. Mike Hall finally got me throwing punches correct now I got some real power in them. Man I hope everyone comes out again like last fight that was great the fans really make me bite down work hard in there, we had a huge fan base last fight and I heard we got even more coming this fight. You no I cant wait Ill bring the Trouble,you all bring the excitement!!!”.

May 22nd Troy will be back at Bally’s Casino in Atlantic City. Troy said “We thought we were fighting in May for another promotion but Peltz Boxing invited us back and that’s were we wanna be. I like the way Mr. Peltz runs his shows and they treated me very good the last fight I just love fighting here, everyone gets behind me here and they appreciate the way I fight, I cant wait till the 22nd training never really stopped I am ready now.  I wanna be the big draw in Atlantic City I will always give everything I got, and in training we have been working on my defense allot. Even though I didn’t feel any punches I don’t need to take the, Todd is a tough kid he just had a win on the 25th of March, His chin is like Iron.  Already though for this fight I ve been correcting some things and You don’t wanna get in front of one of my punches now. I am truly blessed I got a great team and we are taking it all one step at a time my team has been to the top and I am taking us back right from A.C. if possible”.

Troy started training again the week after the fight. He is in shape and ready to go just tuning up on some things. He is very excited to fight again in May and is hoping he can have a big turnout again as he sold out of tickets last fight, and told me it will happen again this fight people are already asking for tickets. So schedule your day off and contact Troy for a ticket to this fight. Trouble Troy Maxwell came out Saturday night in shape and ready to fight, so did his opponent. The first round he found himself at the end of a few slick punches. Starting the second round Troy started to get his game together landing some hard right hands and finding his jab. “I think I had to settle down sometimes I just wanna rush in and try to hit guys not picking my shots”. Troy almost stopped his opponent in the second round, but time expired with his foe on the ropes, on unstable legs. The Third saw Troy again putting the gloves to his opponent but he got caught with a few good shots one opening a cut on his left ear. The blood had no effect as Trouble kept bringing the fight and finished the last 2 rounds with much of the same repeated laser sharp jabs and occasional right hands, Troy captured the win via Unanimous Dec.39-37 on all cards. Troy says, ” It was another learning experience, I’ll just keep getting better every fight. We will work on somethings and I’ll improve and get better. Everybody saw tonight I’ll always come in shape and bring the fight no matter what You wanna stop me bring a gun or a big truck cause I’m coming to get you. You Fight Troy Maxwell there is gonna be some Trouble”. Troy also wanted to thank everyone who came out to be part of the fight. Thanks to everybody, it is not a fight without you guys there. He wanted to Thank his Team and everybody who helped with training as well.

Training has been going great.  Troy is in great shape and has been training hard. He just got back from California.
